Welcome to Pure Ranching
Family
We are a family operated ranch and farm business. We embody a lifestyle that still relies on working horses, working dogs, note pads and old-fashioned manners. Our civility and dedication to our customers dictate first class service that is unparalleled. We carry our sacred family brands such as, Pure Ranching, Cross Nine and Coleto Creek Cattle Co. In addition to serving our branded food, we serve as a network for other high-quality producers and consumers. All livestock and poultry are pasture raised and managed in a holistic manner.
It is a privilege to serve you directly. None of this would be possible without friends and family. Special thanksgiving goes to those before us, who sacrificed so that there would be gifts for future generations and to those together now, working and building. You work odd hours, experience floods, fire and drought and still sit together at the dinner table. You are the foundation of possibility. Thank you one million times over!
Processing
We primarily use the professional services of IO Ranch Processing for our beef options. Our beef is USDA inspected. This business not only cuts and packages in a beautiful presentation but is founded on serving ranchers like us who have our own direct audience already established. IO Ranch Processing is a wonderful business to work with! They are made up of the highest level of integrity.
Pastures
We remain full of gratitude to the individuals who allow our business to serve the needs of our customers by allowing us to lease beautiful pastures. In addition to our own land, leases remain an integral aspect of serving a customer base efficiently. Many ranches do not have the ability to house both their mother cow herd and weaned calves for up to two years (getting them big enough for retail). Leases allow this level of operation to run efficiently.
Cowboys
Special thanksgiving goes to those who wear blue collars every day, bringing production forward. You are essential workers, you are the reason a product is available. Hats off to the cowboys and cowgirls who make everything happen. Special thanksgiving to my little sister, one who knows not quit. Special thanksgiving goes to my uncle Reed, who is my inspiration. Special thanksgiving to my parents, who passed on to me, a noteworthy mindset. Deepest gratitude to our Creator for our babies, the joy of our days. Affectionate thanksgiving, to my husband, guiding star and love of my lifetime, Keith Taylor.

Cross 9 Cattle Co.
Cross 9 Cattle Co. is headquartered in Dewitt County. This is big cattle country. DeWitt, La Vaca, Gonzales and Karnes counties make up the four largest calf production counties in the country. This is not only a ranch but a commercial cattle operation, where a cattleman (one of the worlds most revered and versed business men will need to be a cowboy) but just a cowboy, will not make it as a cattleman. The place was acquired through hard work and dedication in 2001 by Keith Taylor. We receive, background and ship grass-fed calves from here throughout the country. Not a day rolls by when horses are not saddled and used in this action packed line of work. High quality working dogs and horses are born and started here and kept in the family for their services!

R.P. Gohmert Ranch
The R.P. Gohmert Ranch has been in the same family for over 100 years and is recognized by the state of Texas for that!
This ranch has been a giving vessel since the family arrived from Germany to Texas. The place transfers possibilities generation after generation.
The place was founded in DeWitt county along the Coleto Creek and is still owned by family members who reside on the cherished land. The land is operated as a high quality cow calf and hay operation and continues to shine beautifully upon Texas.
W.C. sold the land to his one and only sister, Cricket and transferred his portion, to the historic L.P Reed Ranch, joining his wife Marian in a collaboration. Sister and brother, facilitated the preservation of the ranches, thus maintaining the heritage for the newest generations, toddling about. Their noted commitment to loved ones, allowed all of the magical properties to remain in the same family.

L.P. Reed Ranch
This ranch is in Bosque county, Texas. The ranch was founded by Louis and Jesse Reed in 1939. The ranch is a historic treasure, inhabited by the sixth generation. The place is composed of teaming bodies of water and wildlife including; geese, cougars, coyotes, beaver, deer, bob cats, rabbits, numerous road runners and armadillos! The property produces high quality replacement heifers that people travel to purchase from all over the state. Free ranging Spanish goats and dorper sheep thrive on the property. Livestock guardian dogs look after the herds. An iconic local ranch food pick up site is actively operated for those wishing to pick up the savory fruits of the land. Bosque County, is one of the darkest counties in the Nation, meaning you will see more stars than you ever knew existed.

Roaring Springs Ranch in Arkansas
This ranch is situated in Washington county, Arkansas. Clear water, high hills, nice bottom land, walnut trees, old growth pines and rolling grasslands make up this ranch. It was my great uncle, Little Louis' dream place, that got out of the family's hands, after his early passing, later to be re-claimed and brought back into the family. It is tirelessly operated by a highly skilled young family member. The clear streams are the playground to the fourth generation. This pristine ranch is an abundant cow calf operation, also producing hay, timber and gravel.

The Leggett Ranch
This ranch is situated in Catron county outside of Reserve, New Mexico. This ranch is rugged mountain country that backs up to Arizona. This property is inhabited by elk, deer, cougars, wolves and many bears. The mother cow herd that is established here is unique in that they know how to seek out springs and travel long distances. Horseback riding will take a full day and is the only way to access many spaces!
